IS IT TIME, YET?! HUMAN RESOURCE  GOLDEN NUGGET The Government had some parts of it shut down on December 22, 2018, per CNN Politics online article written January 22, 2019. My last Golden Nugget on the Government Shut Down, I mention some furlough workers should qualify for unemployment benefits. However, if you are working without pay you probably will not qualify for those benefits. That is why it is becoming a hardship for those individuals to continue to serve without compensation.  Why is that? Because when you file for unemployment benefits you must report all hours worked and what the estimated amount for that week’s paycheck even if you have not received your compensation yet. That means you may not receive payment for the amount reported that week from unemployment benefits. WOW! HUMAN RESOURCE  GOLDEN NUGGET for 2018-2019 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES FURLOUGHED To all the Furloughed employees who have paid into unemployment benefits insurance you should qualify to withdraw your benefits at this time. It may not be enough to pay all your bills; however, it will be some income coming in to your home.  The first of my Golden Nugget suggestions I want to share with you is to be careful that you do not over borrow funds. There are many organizations (financial) that are providing loans for your pay check to cover your bills while you are furloughed. My suggestion is to only borrow the amount less the amount you are receiving from unemployment benefits. Why? Because when you receive your paychecks you will receive a nice note from Unemployment Benefits Office in your State with the amount you must pay back. I had a horrible time watching Wild Card weekend. This week was not that bad. Truly every team I thought would advance did. Did I want an upset to happen. Yes! Did one? No! Look at these scores. I did believe some of the games were going to be closer then they were. Let's talk about it. CHIEF & COLTS I think that the Chief ate all the spinach they could because the Colts from the first snap was not in the game. It was like watching the Texans all over again.
